Total distance traveled was about 26 nautical miles.<\/p>\n<p>The south end of Green Bay (bay) is very shallow &amp; the last 7 n.m. of our trip was via a narrow channel that is maintained to a depth of about 28+ feet. The channel is very well marked., so as long as you follow the buoys you will be ok but if you have a boat with 5 feet of draft or greater and you stray outside of the channel you risk running aground very quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The lighthouse in the photo below (at 44\u00b039\u20328\u2033 N 87\u00b053\u203260\u2033 W) is several miles from shore and marks the beginning of the channel. You can see it from a long distance away.
