There are quite a few commercial fishermen on Green Bay. When we entered the bay last Thursday we began seeing lots of fishing net markers floating on the water & had to pay close attention to our course to make sure that we did not run over top of any of them. From a distance it’s often hard to tell if you are looking at markers or at seagulls.<\/p>\n

Not long after our first marker sightings I saw a unusually large white one & as we got closer I realized that it was a pelican. I pointed it out to Chris & he commented that maybe I had been out in the sun a bit too long :). However, it wasn’t too much longer before we saw several more & we were able to confirm that we were not imagining things.<\/p>\n

Bo told me that white pelicans are common on Green Bay. When we arrived at our marina there were lots of them resting on small islands near the shore.<\/p>\n
