Today we traveled from Smiths Falls to Newboro but our first stop was at the Roosteraunt for a hearty breakfast!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We cast off about 9:30am & with only 2 locks to pass through were hoping to reach our destination in the early afternoon. The weather was great for this 30 kilometer passage & Yang tried his hand on the helm as we traveled through the Rideau Lakes section.<\/p>\n

When we arrived at Newboro the upper overnight dock level was full so we tied up on the lower side. That turned out to be a good choice as we had Newboro Lake right off our swim platform.<\/p>\n

We relaxed on shore for a while & then Yang & I took a swim. Amber cheered us on as we took our \u201cbest\u201d dives off the boat.<\/p>\n

No fancy moves for us! It turned out to be a contest to see who could make the biggest splash!<\/p>\n

We followed up our swim with BBQ\u2019d steaks, new potatoes & red wine for supper.<\/p>\n
After supper we settled down to preparing some blog entries & Amber & Yang had the task of sharing their thoughts about the events of the day.<\/p>\n
